Webinar: Biden Trade Agenda - Online
Tuesday, February 23, 2021 3:00 PM (EST)
"Biden Trade Agenda"
As President Biden begins to install his team in the key agency roles to implement his trade policy, the pending issues from the Trump Administration remain. Some analysts believe the plethora of tariffs in place on trade partners is actually a benefit to the Biden Administration and will help in negotiating global alliances against those countries that flaunt international trade laws and practices; while others consider the pending issues a burden that will serve as a barrier to gaining global alliances.
This webinar will review:
-
Pending issues from the Trump Administration: section 301 on China, Vietnam, France and the EU; section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum; Executive Orders
-
Possible actions by the Biden Administration: decisions on continuing/modifying section 301, 201 and 232 tariffs; negotiations with trading partners
-
Congressional trade issues that may move forward: the expired GSP, MTB and expiring TPA
Expert Speaker: Nicole Bivens Collinson | President, International Trade and Government Relations | Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg
