Webinar: Section 307: Forced Labor Enforcement and Challenges for Global Supply Chains - Online

Tuesday, April 27, 2021 3:00 PM (EST)

Section 307: Forced Labor Enforcement and Challenges for Global Supply Chains

Section 307 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (Section 307) prohibits the importation of goods made wholly or in part with forced labor. CBP administers this law through various tools, from subjecting importers to questionnaire verifications to demanding the detention of merchandise at the border. Most of the media attention on forced labor has been on China, but CBP’s spotlight is on supply chain transparency for all products regardless of origin. The U.S. and governments from around the world are also considering new legislation that could soon provide new enforcement tools. The onus is on importers to understand their supply chain beyond the Tier 1 level. Join us to discuss how enforcement of Section 307 could impact your imports and what you can do to mitigate risks.
