McDavid Inc. and NBA’s Corey Maggette Renew Relationship
CHICAGO – Oct. 13, 2010 – McDavid Inc. – the Chicago-based, worldwide provider of sports medicine products and protective apparel – has re-inked a deal for the fifth year in a row to outfit NBA star Corey Maggette this 2010-2011 season.
Maggette has endorsed the HexPad® technology line since 2005, and in a past video interview said, “Everyone knows I like taking the ball to the basket. And this is definitely a protection for me going to the basket, because I get hit hard. I go to the free throw line 10 times a game. And this is really what helps me. I use this product every day.”
When the official season starts Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2010, Maggette will be seen sporting the 7580 HexPad® short with wrap-around thigh pads, 7862 HexPad® HexMesh shirt, 6440 HexPad® knee pads and the 6500 HexPad® shooter sleeves – all of which he recently modeled in a photo shoot with McDavid. He will also wear the 195 ankle braces since he just had ankle surgery.
“Corey is one of those players we’re always glad to continue working with,” Bob McDavid, president of McDavid Inc. said. “He is an incredible athlete and we’ve been blessed to help keep him as safe as possible. We’ve got a great relationship and appreciate the time he takes to spread the word about our HexPad® gear by doing photo shoots and other promotional events.”
According to Corpuz, a video compilation of the recent photo shoot can be found on McDavid’s website and social media accounts in the coming days.
McDavid’s products are used by more than 90 percent of professional basketball teams, 50 percent of professional football teams and almost all collegiate teams. For more information, visit www.mcdavidusa.com.
