Schutt Sports Appears on “Expert Opinion”
Litchfield, Ill. – Nov. 3, 2010 – Schutt Sports recently was invited to appear on “Expert Opinion” to discuss the future of sports equipment technology. The taped segment, hosted by Penn State President Graham Spanier, also featured representatives from Wilson Sporting Goods Co./DeMarini Sports and Nike Golf.
The director of sports marketing for Schutt Sports, D.J. MacLean, explained during the episode that the company is primarily concerned with two things: protecting the athletes and enhancing their performance – and that as new materials become available to achieve those two objectives, Schutt seeks to incorporate them into helmets.
“By doing what we do, we are not only improving products on the market, we are improving the game.” MacLean said. “I had a great experience on the show and I think viewers will enjoy getting a glimpse into Schutt’s research and development process. There are a lot of good things to come from our lab.”
The segment is titled “Advances in Technology: Sports Equipment” and will air Monday, Nov. 8. It will later be posted on Schutt’s YouTube channel.
