SGMA Product Integrity Program Knowledge Services Launched Via Webinar
SILVER SPRING, MD – August 23, 2011 – Last month, SGMA announced its partnership with Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, a world leader in quality assurance and supply-chain risk management solutions. In its role with SGMA, Bureau Veritas is the official sponsor of SGMA’s Product Integrity Program. On Thursday, August 18, SGMA and Bureau Veritas hosted a webinar to launch the educational aspect of the initiative as well as the mechanics of the program. Nearly 70 individuals from SGMA member companies participated in the webinar.
As part of the program, SGMA member companies receive exclusive benefits such as educational events, technical consultation, the chance to learn the latest information related to product safety and risk management, and supply-chain services, including member-only discounts on product testing.

In the program’s inaugural webinar, attendees were updated on the latest with regard to the CPSIA, Prop 65, Green Chemistry, and Restrictive Substances Lists (RSL). The presentation also involved details about what benefits SGMA members received through the program, such as discounted product testing and quality customer service, to name a few.
