Schutt Sports Launches Season-Long Facebook Competition
Litchfield, Ill. – Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011— Schutt Sports, the world’s leading maker of football helmets and faceguards, has kicked off the football season with an official Facebook competition. Fans will have the opportunity each week, all season long, to win a free, game-ready Schutt football helmet.
Starting today, Schutt will post a new challenge on its Facebook wall every Wednesday, instructing fans to go online and find specific types of photos showing Schutt gear in action.
“Think of it as a scavenger hunt for Schutt Heads,” Glenn Beckmann, marketing communications manager for Schutt Sports said. “It’s fun, simple and you don’t even have to leave your computer.”
Participants have until the following Tuesday night to find a qualifying photo, post it to Schutt’s Facebook wall and recruit the most “likes” for their entry. The person whose photo earns the most likes by the end of the week wins a free Schutt helmet of his/her choice. Winners can also choose the color and style of their new helmet and facemask.
“We’re giving fans a chance to get their hands on what they want the most,” Beckmann said. “Who wouldn't want to win one of the best performing helmets on the field?”
