Porter Athletic, Gill Athletics Launches New Divisional Sales Structure

CHAMPAIGN, IL—For Immediate Release. Litania Sports Group, parent company of Porter Athletic, Gill Athletics, and PowerMax, announces the launch of a new divisional sales structure to manage their three athletic equipment brands.

“While operated from a single factory and office complex in Champaign, Illinois, these brands will be managed as distinct divisions with national sales management leadership”, notes Steve Vogelsang, corporate Vice President, sales and marketing. “We could not be more pleased with the quality of talent assembled to direct these market-leading brands going forward”.

Gill Athletics track & field equipment division is led by Fred Dixon, national sales manager since 2003. Dixon, a two-timeOlympic decathlete, notes “A general approach is no longer effective in today’s business climate. Specificity is the name of the game. The divisional approach allows us to be very nimble in adapting to the unique needs of our customers”.

Porter Athletic custom engineered gymnasium equipment division is directed by Jeff Morgan, national sales manager. Morgan, previously a Porter regional sales manager comments “The launch of a divisional based national structure will provide Porter Custom division the focus and efficiencies necessary to continue our industry leading position.”

Porter’s Basketball Equipment line is led by sporting goods industry veteran Mark Cornett as its new division manager. Cornett, previously a product manager, national and territory sales manager with Easton and Rawlings, notes “I’m thrilledto be on the Porter team. Our people, products and leadership are all focused on our customers. We have an expandingline of quality products that are priced right and ship on time.”

Porter Volleyball Equipment division is led by Annie Parks, previously NCAA Division I player and coach, and most recently in the fitness equipment industry, is pleased to return to her favorite sport. Comments Parks “I am honored and excited to be part of the company and brand I have known my entire volleyball career. This new focus is going to further enhance the well-established reputation of the Porter brand within the volleyball world!”

PowerMax training equipment division is directed by Karl Geissler, MS in  Kinesiology and formerly a regional salesmanager and 12 year veteran of both Gill Athletics and Porter Athletic sales team. Geissler notes “I am ecstatic to be inthis position. PowerMax is a brand that easily complements our other divisions, and it offers tremendous opportunity because we are able to help athletes of all ages and abilities achieve their fitness and performance goals”.
