Dec. 7, 2011 (Fairfield, CA.) – Harbinger, a leading manufacturer of fitness products, announced today the winners of its holiday art contest. The annual project offers local students the opportunity to submit drawings to be featured on the company’s holiday greeting cards. In exchange for participation, Harbinger donates $250 in school supplies to each class, as well as jump ropes and exercise mats to the school’s Physical Education program.
Winning entries were submitted by students at Center Elementary School, in Fairfield, CA. Nydia G. and Gwen S., both fifth graders and Nathan M. and Faith L., both second graders at Center Elementary School. Runner up Devon W., a 2nd grader at Center Elementary School will have his design featured on the back of the card’s envelope.
"We are impressed with the creativity and talent shown by these young students,” says Chanin Cook, Director of Marketing for Harbinger. "We welcome the opportunity to give back to our local schools, particularly given the current budget situation. Now more than ever, private industry should look for ways to get involved and support the efforts of teachers in public schools.”
Students in the second and fifth grades at Center Elementary School were asked to submit drawings reflecting “What the Holidays Mean to Me” or “My Favorite Thing About the Holidays.” One design was selected from each class. Founded in 1988, Harbinger produces innovative, high-performance fitness products including gloves, belts, straps, wraps, jump ropes, resistance cables, balance trainers and mats.
