Super Bowl Referee Ed Hochuli to Speak at 2014 Litigation & Risk Management Summit
Two-time Super Bowl referee and attorney Ed Hochuli will be a featured speaker at the 2014 SFIA Litigation & Risk Management Summit to be held at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix, AZ.
Ed Hochuli is a native Phoenix trial attorney with his own 80 person lawyer firm, who has personally tried over 150 civil jury trials. He is most widely recognized as a referee in the National Football League (NFL), where's he has worked for the last 24 years, refereed two super bowls and seven championship games, along with over 475 games in the NFL. While advancing from a football referee officiating 8 year olds in front of 50 parents, to refereeing a Super Bowl with 350 million people watching, Hochuli has sharpened his skills to negotiate conflict and achieve resolution under the toughest and some might say, least amenable circumstances.
Both venues have presented Hochuli with opportunities to help people in high stress and challenging times understand the options for resolution, the best means to facilitate resolution and how to ‘win’ without necessarily giving it all away. Hochuli is passionate about the practice of law and maintains a fine-tuned balance between the zealous representation of his clients, while recognizing the harm that others allegedly suffered due to his client’s actions.
Hochuli has several ‘take aways’ that easily translate into conflict resolution and mediations regarding business contracts, issues relating to suppliers or distributors, employee grievances and resolving legal claims against companies.
