Sporting Goods & Fitness Manufacturers Currently Providing Projections on State of the Industry

SILVER SPRING, MD – February 25, 2015 -- Top executives in the sports and fitness industry began reporting projections for the 2015 fiscal period on January 1 and are continuing to report through March 20. The data will be used to produce the Sports & Fitness Industry Association's (SFIA) State of the Industry Report, which will be available on April 13. The goal is to get 75-100 executives to participate in the national survey.

The SFIA is using an online questionnaire format being managed by Sports Marketing Surveys USA, the official research provider of the SFIA.

"Think of the questionnaire for this report as a ‘field’ on which manufacturers play together for the good of the game," says Tom Cove, SFIA president & CEO. “Getting feedback from key executives at all types of companies – big and small – is a significant aspect of this annual report.”

The annual SFIA State of the Industry Report is an in-depth analysis of trends and issues affecting the sports & fitness industry including:

  • participation, economy, industry environment
  • a financial review of 2014 and discusses projections for 2015
  • insight from C-level executives into trends shaping sports and fitness
  • update of policy expectations in government & public affairs
  • plus interviews with CEOs of major manufacturers
